Promise of God's Rest

The definition of rest is being settled with finality, victory, security, cease from exertion, bring to completion

"our faith is too weak – instead of letting faith rule our lives – what do we let rule our lives? If we really believe, and then act on the fact that He is wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in every way – how transforming! Hebrews 4 encourages us to mix the message with faith – that the promise of entering His rest still stands so let us be careful that none fallen short – some enter, some do not because of unbelief (which is disobedience) . . . He who enters rest ceases from his own works as God did so let us make every effort to enter that rest, lest we fall away because of unbelief. . all things are uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account (the awake from verse above in Psalm uses it in conjunction with uncovered and laid bare) God uncovering what is in your mind, will and emotions. “Because of trust in God’s care, when he had outside business to attend to, Brother Lawrence never worried about it beforehand. Rather, he found God would give him a picture as clear as a mirror image of exactly what to do at precisely the right moment . . . before he had experienced God’s swift help in his affairs; he had attempted to plan every detail, doing the job in his own strength.” (Practice of the Presence by Brother Lawrence)
