Surrender to the Awakening

I pick up the grievance

As if it were a rock,

Angry and wanting to heave it at something.

In the knowledge of the tree of good and evil,

I judge this “thing,” this grievance in my life, as bad,

Forgetting that I am in You.

This is my true state of being.

So I am not calling this “thing” good,

But good comes out of it.

As my friend says so poetically,

“Dancing with the ‘thing’ -

Whatever the ‘thing’ is

Instead of struggling against it”

“Awakening is a surrender”

Not a giving in to it

Releasing the “thing” so it is not my focus

Surrendering to my identity

My union with Him

This is fulness of life

The greater reality

The greatest reality

Surrendering to the awakening

An awakening of the truth

That I am already raised, hidden, glorified.

The kingdom is here and in me even now.

I have been made complete – done.

This is the structure that my life is built upon.

But I am judged by my blindness to my victory.

My friend reminds me:

“Do not engage energy with the things below.

The struggle.

Engage the energy of Who He is in You”

Because of my union with You,

Peace is always there.

I’m only disconnected

because I am focused on the junk.

So I force my stake in the ground:

My stake is my union with you.

I abide.

I align,

Okay, I realign.

And the grievance falls away,

Like a heavy rock,
erupting a cloud of dust as it hits the ground.

Oneness is already but our experience is not yet in fullness. -Ted Dekker

Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your mind and mediating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious - the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into His most excellent harmonies. Philippians 4:8-9 The Passion Translation

So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things. Philippians 4:8-9 Message

I Love this!! This is our very real journey, a journey of awakening and surrendering to that awakening.

This is so good! And such a good explanation of how to respond to a grievance - sometimes I really struggle with not focusing on them. This prose is a great reminder on how to re-focus and re-align. (I love that line about re-aligning; it made me smile.)
