The Bleating Sheep - Psalm 23

A baby sheep, lying alone in a deep ravine, barely able to cry out for help. Thistles, thorns and briars are all around. Who knows what is lurking, waiting to pounce, where the sheep cannot see. The walls of the ravine are steep, there is no way out . . . save One.
The Good Shepherd comes into the ravine to rescue him. He lovingly and tenderly picks up his lamb, the one He knows, the one He loves, the one He cares for . . . And the Good Shepherd is victorious!

For thus says the Lord GOD: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day." Ezekiel 34:11

But I will trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you rescue me. Psalm 13:5 The Good Shepherd's rescue of us doesn't always look like what we imagined. Oh, He is able to do beyond what we imagine and yet sometimes, He seems to leave us right where we are. I think it's because He is trying to teach us something in the process, for us to learn more of Him and who He is. Before you truly know him as your Shepherd, you will have to experience Him as your Shepherd.

The Lord is my Shepherd for You are Jehovah-Rohi, God my Shepherd
I shall lack nothing (NO THING) thank you that You are Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider
He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside quiet waters for I declare You are Jehovah-Shalom, my peace no matter what is happening around me
He restores my soul for You are Jehovah-Rapha, my healer, my restorer
He guides me in paths of righteousness for you are Jehovah-Tsidkenu, my Righteousness, I dedicate myself to you to follow you as Lord
For His Name's Sake for You alone are Holy, Jehovah M'Kaddesh
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me because You told me I am always there for you, Jehovah-Shammah, God who is there
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me for your rod protects me and your staff rescues me
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies because You are Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord my Banner of Victory as I depend on the authority of my crucified, resurrected, victorious Redeemer
You anoint my head with oil as I thank you for the power of Your Holy Spirit to heal, restore, appoint, and cleanse
My cup overflows because I will yet praise you my Savior and Lord
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever for Christ lives in me and I am seated in heavenly places with him.

And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord GOD. “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.” Ezekiel 34:11-16
